And yet pre GE genes were never crossed into different species, like, salmon into tomatoes to create frost resistance. GE could speed up traditional plant breeding methods but it’s being used for other things. Things like, oh I don’t know, maybe to sell more pesticides? As opposed to improving the the ability of crops to withstand drought.
